Tae Ho joined the department in 2016. His dissertation investigates the relationship between reality and sexuality in German Realism, Modernism, and Neue Sachlichkeit. In particular, the project analyzes how the representation of sexuality functions as the mimesis of social reality and reflection on ethical conduct in the works of Theodor Fontane, Robert Musil, and Irmgard Keun.
